How We Support Our Community

MARKET DAY - Hawkes Bay Campus

RED DAY - East Coast Campus

‘The students of Westmount School – East Coast Campus held a RED DAY raising $500 which they presented to the Heart Foundation this week.

St Johns Fundraising Appeal - Taranaki Campus

St John fundraiser for Yr 3-13 students - we need your help! The Westmount national student leadership team has come up with the bright idea to fundraise for Saint Johns, with the idea being that we can pool all of our funds together nationally, and give a truly outstanding donation to this worthy cause. The brief: Students have until week 7 this term to fundraise $60 each in any way you choose (or $12 per week). We encourage classes to work together as a team, to put the fun in FUNdraising! If anyone is struggling to collect the $60, we encourage them to talk to one of the year 13’s so we can brainstorm ideas together. It’s really important for everyone to put everything into this incentive because as a school we aim to collect a sum of $9000!

Our community is highly dedicated to working with school and campus administrators as well as teachers to maintain, promote and advance the interests and welfare of the school.  Our teachers regularly comment that they’ve never experienced such a high level of community support as they have at Westmount.

Our students welcome the challenge of being actively involved in raising much needed funds for worthy community causes through initiatives such as walkathons, door knocking appeals and gold coin days during school hours and in their own time.

Recipients include major hospitals, heart foundations, cancer awareness groups, emergency services, and local charities.

A responsible outlook in relation to humanity is encouraged in our students and through the School's Current Affairs program understanding is enhanced as to events that have ramifications on a local, national and global scale.
